THE National Works Agency has advised that effective from yesterday until tomorrow the eastbound lane of the Old Harbour By-Pass will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am to facilitate the launch of the Palmetto Bridge pre-cast beams on the Highway 2000 toll road.
In addition, the by-pass will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate blasting operations on the Highway 2000 toll road. In order to minimise inconvenience and ensure the safety of the travelling public these operations will be conducted on weekends.
Starting this weekend, November 2, then November 9, and November 16, between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
The public is advised to proceed with caution and observe the instructions of the flag persons and the posted warning signs.
